Vegan Basil Pesto



This vegan basil pesto is a quick and easy alternative to regular pesto. It tastes rich and savory thanks to the walnuts and nutritional yeast that are used. It's great as a dip, on pasta, or on sandwiches.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/3 cup walnuts
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Put basil, walnuts, garlic, and nutritional yeast in a food processor and blend them together

Pulse until the food is very small

Add the olive oil and lemon juice slowly while the processor is running until the mixture is smooth

Add pepper and salt to taste

Put it in a jar or other container and put it in the fridge
